Auntie Helen's provides free laundry services for people with AIDS throughout San Diego County who are too weak and sick to perform the simple task of doing their own laundry. 

To receive service, clients must be referred by their case managers.  If clients are not able to drop off and pick-up their laundry, we will provide free pick-up and delivery services.  For clients with skin allergies, we use hypoallergenic soap when we wash the laundry.

In addition to doing laundry, Auntie Helen's contributes to the emotional well-being of people with AIDS and their families.  Using a voucher system, we provide free emergency clothing distribution to people who are members.  We also offer free medical equipment check-out of the following items to any AIDS patient in the
San Diego County area:

• Wheelchairs
• Walkers
• Canes
• Bedside toilets
• Shower chairs

Auntie Helen’s also provides the following household items as needed by clients:

• Bedding including sheets and blankets
• Towels and washcloths
• Pillows
